Chapter 10, Page 15, Book 08

Don't let the fear of the time it will take to accomplish something stand in the way of your doing it. The time will pass anyway; we might just as well put that passing time to the best possible use.

Earl Nightingale

Start small and grow. Find something you can accomplish right now, something a bit challenging but not out of reach. Do whatever is necessary to get it done, and then build on the momentum that you've just created. Take one step at a time, and there's no limit to how high you can climb.

Ralph Marston

I often get the feeling that I am not accomplishing anything. Not at work, but here at home. I really need to do a lot here and get things organized. As I look around, I’m overwhelmed by all there is to do. Being away every weekend all camping season has taken a toll on my house for sure. The rest of this fall and most of the winter will be spent trying to get it all done. I’ll take the advice given above and do it one step at a time and climb up from there.

After this weekend I’ll be giving progress reports instead of camping reports. I don’t know if I’ll take any pictures or not, but if something I do turns out well I might show a finished and well organized spot or two in my house.

The past few years I’ve had ‘new to me’ cupboards installed in my kitchen and the walls painted and a new floor and counter top put in and I redecorated the bathroom so those two rooms are in reasonably good shape. It’s the rest of the house that I’ll be working on.

Today is ‘Over the Hump’ day and tomorrow is the last work day of the week for me. It’s going to be a great day!

This is a great message for me in particular. I tend to put things off and then I am overwhelmed by the size the tasks become. I too, will concentrate on doing a little each day toward a positive goal. Thanks for reminding me.

Great entry for me to read and not feel alone in feeling overwhelmed...with things around the house. If you saw my photo of my pile of wood you would understand. Hope you have a beautiful Wed. Hugs and love,

Well, I am here all the time and my place still gets neglected, I spend too long on my computer! Also, as you get older you do not have the energy you did. Have a lovely day.

Well, I know your camping days will be coming to and end before long. But we can hibernate and focus on a few inside projects. I kinda look forward to it. Glad you got some new "spiffies" in the kitchen. We really needed that in the other house. But we got our spiffies when we moved in the new one. Except we have some serious painting over ugly wall paper to do. lol Have a good weekend (message sent early).
