The Acorn and the Pumpkin.

A young man who walked outside one day to meditate. He came to a field of ripe pumpkins. In the field was a huge acorn tree. The young man meditated on the tiny acorns hanging down from the huge tree limbs. Then he meditated on the huge pumpkins fastened to the tiny vines. "God blundered," the young man reflected. "He should have put the tiny acorns on the tiny vines and the huge pumpkins on the huge limbs."

Then the young man lay down under the tree and fell fast asleep. A few minutes later, he was awakened by a tiny acorn bouncing off his nose. The young man rubbed his bruised nose and thought, "Maybe God was right after all."
Isn't it just like man to question the wisdom of God. Think about it!

I’m going to give it the old ‘trip to the beach’ attitude today and hope that it works…I’m sure not with it so much this morning. I must need more of that good coffee.

Long 3 day weekends are hard to get over I guess. I got plenty of rest but my body says one more day, please.

No matter it is pay roll day and the guys need their pay checks so I’ll go off to work as usual.

Btw - One of the comments yesterday asked if I sold my signs that I painted. No, they were gifts for my camping babes and one for me too. I used to sell what I painted, but there just wasn’t enough time to work and do this for a sideline so I had to quit. Maybe when I retire I can do it again.

Hope your Monday is off to a better start than mine today!

Cute story. It's not easy sometimes to give up the days off, is it? I haven't forgotten and now I don't work but stay busier than ever it seems. Have a good one :)........alic

I am always asking God why give noses to children when they don't know how to wipe them and their fingers seem to be permanently stuck in them.
