No Pain- No Gain

Those who have trusted in God may be careful to devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for everyone.

Titus 3:8

Today we will finish up this week's study on the fruits of the Spirit -- Kindness and Goodness.

God's word always brings about good, just as God does.

The good is not always easy as we see in 2 Corintihians 12:7-10

The cleansing of the temple. Jesus had to drive out those selling things and overturn tables of the moneychangers.

Sometimes we too have to rebuke or correct someone. We should always be careful in how we do that. Sharp tongues and self-righteous attitues cannot be excused in the name of good works.

Kindness and goodness do go together because kindness provides the safeguard for misguided goodness.

In 1 Thessalonians 2: 6-8 Paul demonstrates this as he worked to bring the Gospel to others.

Remember good works are always appointed , not assumed. We cannot be trusted to do good works until the Word of God has done its good work in us.

We pray that our dear Lord will show us how to accept His Word in our lives so that we bless the lives of others through His good works.

Next week's study will be about BELIEVING
