Luke - Lesson 7

Luke 11:1-13

So, He said to them, When you pray , say:

Our Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name

Your Kindom come.

Your will be done

On earth as it is in heaven

Give us day by day our daily bread

Vs 8

So I tell you, ask, and God will give to you.

Search, and you will find. Knock, and the door will open for you.

Through our insincerity and and lack of interest, sometimes we give up on prayer very easily. God never gives up on us, even though we give up on Him. We should follow the example of Jesus and pray honestly, persistantly and faithfully.

Every day I say the same prayer. I like to think that it's not so much repetitious as it is persistant. I ask our Father to protect and guide those dear to me, my family and friends. I ask for healing for my granddaughter, I ask for protection for our Troups and guidance for our goverment leaders and our President and I Praise and Thank him for the many blessings I've received. Oh, and I ask that he bless our enemies with a change of heart. Every day starts off with this prayer. Some days I also pray for special things, like the hurricane or sometimes I also just say a big THANK YOU for an answered prayer.

Our blessed Lord has answered many prayers for me and I trust and believe that He answers them all -- in His own way and His own time.

Sending On A Prayer...say a prayer everytime you wash your hands each day for a mother or a grandmother.
This homeschool mom came up with this (far as I know) and told us to pray for a teaching mom everytime we washed our hands! It makes washing hands so much more fun now and worthwhile! Wow..Mom of 7 and Grandma of 10! Wow! Good going, Granny! :) Hope that's okay..know I'm kiddin with ya..I'm a Granny also..."Mi-Mi"
