Because we are flawed human beings, we can get side-tracked. We loose our focus and get caught up in self-improvement plans of our own making that have little to do with God's plan for us.
We tend to forget that we have access to a Loving Being who regards us with great tenderness and is always walking with us.
Divine guidance is a source of wisdom for us that helps us to know when to embrace ourselves and when not to give into ourselves. Wisdom helps us to discover each step of the way, how we are to be a loving person in our world with our chipped, flawed condition. Many of the Psalms ask God to show us the way.
We should trust in this wonderful guide who has been given to us. We need this Wise One to teach us how to be and where to go.
Psalm 43:3 O send out your light and your truth, let them lead me.
May we make good choices that are reflective of the loving goodness of God.
Too often I forget to pray for God's wisdom when I make choices. I've already started reading the Psalms more with the hope of strengthening my praise of Him and opening myself to be aware of what He wants me to do for His glory.
I just read this morning about a sign on the wall in St. Teresa's room that went something like this ....In the end is isn't what people want that's important. It is all about God.
