Chapter 11, Page 8, Book 20

For each new morning with its light. For rest and shelter of the night.  For health and food, for love and friendsFeeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.

Day 8 - a thankful Sunday

Gratitude turns what we have into enough.

Melody Beattie

This is my day of the week to reflect and give thanks for the blessings of this week.  There is much to be thankful for and most important is that my family and I came through another week healthy and whole.

More and more of us know of someone who’s been infected with the virus .  Our numbers are up across the nation.  This week I found out that one of my grandsons was quareteened due to the fact that one of his classmates had the virus. Thankfully my grandson has no symptoms but has to stay home just in case.

Sadly our schools do have cases and we are reminded once again, to always keep a safe distance and wash those hands often.  They all wear masks, because they are mandated. But being in close quarters and inside does make a difference.

Keeping safe is on everyone’s mind these days and we’re thankful for the precautions being taken.

It scares me when I see someone in public without a mask.  I’m like what are they thinking?  Don’t they know they are not following the rules or do they even care?

Thankfully there are more that do than don’t.

Let us be grateful to people who make us happy.

Marcel Proust

I think it is inevitable that a lot of people will eventually catch the virus. I just continue to thank God that he has spared our family so far.

Thankful for continued good health here, too! Already I'm growing nervous about going to my son's for Thanksgiving ... because all my DIL's siblings will be there with their families. Little to do but take precautions and PRAY.

Thankful that my precautions have been so helpful in keeping safe during this time. I feel that the things I do are very small sacrifices for staying healthy. Take care!
