Treasure the love you receive above all. It will survive long after your good health has vanished.

Day 28 - thankful for togetherness
Love is, above all the gift of oneself.
Jean Anoulth
I am thankful for any time I get to spend with family and today is our family gathering for Thanksgiving. I’ m thankful for the small group that will be together. I guess 3 out of 7 isn’t bad considering the times we live in. Two sons won’’t be here as they live too far away to come for the day and 2 sons have opted out of coming due to safety cautions, another family won’t be here because one has been tested positive for Covoid 19 and is quarenteened. So I’m thankful for the ones that can make it more than ever. Our small group will be missing them and praying for them as we celebrate.
We gather together to ask the Lord’s blessing;
He chastens and hastens His will to make known
The wicked oppressing now cease from distressing.
Sing praise to His Name, He forgets not His own.
American Text written by Theordore Baker, 1894
We’ll be outside and masked and practicing self distancing and keeping warm by the fire. It’s supposed to be 52 degrees and partly sunny today which is about as good as it can get in November in Ohio. Thankfully it is not raining or snowing which is often the case this time of year. So yes, I’m thankful for this gathering. DD has done a lot of work to make sure we are all safe there at her house while we gather.
Praying we all keep well and happy and make the most of what is possible.
A family is a little world created by love.

Family: we don't have it all together, but together we have it all!
I'm thankful that you are able to spend the day with family. Hopefully this time next year things will be back to normal! Have fun today :)
I'm so happy you're still able to enjoy 'Thanks-living' with loved ones! Just a few months ago, it didn't seem possible any of us could do so. In the words of a V.A. nurse, "Eat, drink and be merry!"
Enjoy your family time together Ma!

We know you and the group had a great time. Yes, we do always want to be thankful for the LOVE we do receive.
