October 11th - Thankful Sunday

God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today.Have you used one to say,  thank You.

James Russell Lowell

Once again I’m able to give thanks for another healthy week for my family and for me.  We are all safe and healthy and doing just fine.  We had a great week with beautiful fall weather.  Not to hot or not too cold.  Really just right.  I was able to get the yard work done by myself without any help for the first time in weeks.  Due to my blood pressure being so high DS#5 had done it for me.  Now, I’m in better shape, I can do it myself.  Thanks to two little pills and a healthier diet, it is coming down just fine and the doctor is pleased with my progress.

The leaves have started their annual cycle and starting to turn colors here making for some beautiful sights.  We could use a little rain, but today we may just get some. That’s ok because it’s needed.  The time for growing things has come to an end, but so far no hard frosts have hit us so my flowers are still blooming.  Not as brilliantly as in the summer though, but still they are there.  I will miss them when they are gone.

I hope you all are enjoying fall and all it’s glory too and can be thankful for this week.  Keep safe and happy and be thankful for every day that comes our way.  Life is such a gift!

Sunday is a time when you sit back and reflect on all the blessings that you have received,  Smile  at all the good things that you are enjoying.

That quote by Mr. Lowell is mighty powerful. So happy to hear your doctor's pleased with your numbers! Today's (predicted) rainfall sounds like a good reason to nap. :)
