Chapter 8, Page 5, Book 20

Focus on the outcome not the obstacle

Author Unknown

August 5th - obstacles are opportunities.

The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity.  The optimist sees opportunity in ever difficulty.

Winston Churchill

Sometimes its hard to keep our focus when were trying to do something, especially if obstacles keep blocking our way.  But if we focus on the outcome, it will all come together. It’s a matter of perspective and how we look at things.

An obstacle isnt an roadblock, its an opportunity for growth.  Focus on what you can do, not on what you cant do.

We cannot always control events, but we can control our attitude.

The truth is that how we choose to see things often makes all the difference.  There will always be events and circumstances that challenge us.  But the mental perspective we take toward them makes the difference between struggle and success.

Sometimes we have to look harder, but there are always opportunities to be found.  Obstacles allow us the opportunity to reflect on how we could do things differently and examine what did and did to work right the first time around. Obstacles and stumbles allow us time to go back to the drawing board and rethink how things could have gone differently.

If you can’t change your attitude, you will always get the same results. Consider that somethings happen for you not to you.  When you think it might be happening for you , your mind opens to the possibilities.

Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

Thomas Alva Edison

Perspective is key! I've forgotten their names, but remember hearing many success stories of authors and entrepreneurs who were told "no way" time and again ... but chose to persevere.
I pray those who are working to achieve a cure for these dreadful diseases have the mindset like you've just described.

I agree with what Myra said, praying hard for those working to find a cure!

We have found that the obstacles along the way have made that destination more important and the trip more exciting. (Unless the costs were exorbitant. LOL) We do try to not let obstacles kill the joy of the journey.

Obstacles keep us growing as we learn how to get around them.

I've found I succeed at achieving my goals when I just keep putting one foot in front of the other. It's amazing how many miles I've walked by starting with just one step and then following up with another and another.

I like the poster that said if you stumble make it part of the dance. How very wise. When I was young I had dreams that were day dreams and I had dreams that were goals. I was thankful I knew the difference. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
