Chapter 8, Page 4, Book 20

Begin each day with a grateful heart.

Author Unknown

August 4th - It will be worth it !

Start each day with a positive thought and a grateful heart.

Roy Bennett

The simple practice of gratitude can produce a powerful shift in how you view your every day life.  Gratitude can provide you with a firm foundation when it comes to dealing with whatever life has to offer.  Because when you are grateful for the things you have, you’ll be far more aware that your problems are far from what defines you and there is no need to let them overshadow your outlook on life.

You may be surprised at how many blessings you have when you get into the habit of looking for them.  Try to notice the good things in life, because you always have a least one thing to be thankful for.

By choosing to notice the beautiful things that life sends your way, you’ll start to notice them more and your problems less.  It will make you a happier person and change the attitude with which you approach lives problems.

Remember, as long as you’re breathing, you always have a least one thing to be thankful for.

Thank you is the best prayer that anyone could say I say that one a lot.  Thank you expressed extreme gratitude, humility, understanding.

I totally agree with you. Gratitude is one of the MOST important things you can do in life. I force myself to ding five things a day and write them down - it changes me and keeps me sane!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a good idea to spend time remembering what to be grateful for. I used to write down a list but got out of the habit. Time to start it again! Have a blessed day Ma!

Lady you hit the nail on the head with YOUR last comment:
Remember, as long as you’re breathing, you always have a least one thing to be thankful for.....

Jack jr said AMEN to that! Enjoyed the visit.

Totally agree! There are tons of things to be thankful for every single day. I've been writing at least one thing down a day this month to help keep me positive. Thanks for always being such an inspiration :)

AMEN to Jack (and Jack Jr.)! I think it's just an overload of news, but lately I've been waking before dawn with this unsettling free-floating anxiety. Deliberately making myself recite my blessings -- even if they're the same ones I said yesterday and the day before -- is guaranteed to put me back to sleep.

Breathing, walking, seeing, hearing and even the ability to sleep soundly. All blessings and so easy to take any for granted. This has been the season to learn to take nothing for granted!
