Chapter 8, Page 15, Book 20

Adversity is a fact of life. It cant be controlled.  What we can control is how we react to it.

August 15th - take control

Sometimes adversity is what you need to face in order to become successful.

Zig Ziglar

Our attitude is the little thing that is going to make a big difference in our lives.  It will make or break us.  If we think we can do something, then we will.  Its the attitude we take each day that determines what kind of day were going to have.

The good news is that we get to choose what kind of attitude we have.  We need to learn to turn our problems into opportunities. Adversities change our perspectives and teach us important life lessons.

Patience and perseverance are the keys in the long run. And, life is not a sprint as we know.  The longer I live the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.

The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change the past, we cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can do is change our attitude.

We are all in charge of our attitudes.

A positive attitude wont give you everything you want in life, but it will give you more than negative thinking will.

I agree that we are in charge of our own attutudes. These days it is hard to stay positive but being grateful is a good way to try to be positive.

I think it is true too that we are responsible for our own actions - hard as it is.

LOL- One time we were in a counseling session (with other couples in a church setting)..and my husband said one of the things that bothered him was that I could be stubborn. I told him if I wasn't stubborn I would have not stuck it out for all those 'bad' years. lol I got a round of applause (from the women in the group). lol Diana
