Chapter 8, Page 10, Book 20

Ahh — but there is nothing like staying at home for real comfort.

Jane Austen

August 10th - staycation

The ordinary rotes we practice every day at home are of more importance to the soul than their simplicity might sugest

Thomas Moore

This is the time of year when many plan their vacations .  Well my plan is to stay at home and just enjoy the lazy days of summer.  I dont fell safe going out to far from home, so I decided on a staycation.

Staying at home isnt for everyone, but I know of no other place right now of where Id want to be. And the fact that Im saving lots of money that Id rather not spend is a bonus.  This is a great time to cook at home too.  If you want to have a slice of cake for breakfast or pancakes for dinner, enjoy it.

A good book can take me away to places Ive never been or seen before too.  Right now Im reading the Sweet Magnolia series  that can also be watched on Netfex. Im wnjoying the books better than the movie.

Stay home and be safe and remember to wash your hands.

Be grateful for the home you have, knowing that at this moment, all you have is all you need.

Sarah Ben Breathnach

There is always a lot to see and do around here, and I dont have to leave the house for much of it.  Thankfully my children have had a few get togethers so I dont get lonely too often.

Staying at home does get hard but not everyone has to do it.  And luckily we have the Internet!    There are so many things going on and through the net I;ve been enjoying some armchair traveling though my blogger friends.  Thank you all for sharing.

Find the beauty in every day.

Be it ever so humble, there is no place like home.

I like being at home but I also like going out and doing things. We are careful but we do get out and about to the stores and out to eat once a week on Sundays. And of course I'm still working :)

I've always been more of a homebody so staying home doesn't bother me a bit. Staycations are the best! I'm glad you are safe and comfortable at home too :)

I think it took experiencing a difficult part-time gig to make me fully appreciate staying home! Our place is certainly not fancy, but surrounded by all things I hold dear there's no place I'd rather be. Love the thought of cake for breakfast and pancakes for supper ... why, you'd be a hoot at a slumber party! :)

WE are enjoying our home on the road. To us it feels like staying home. Most times we are out only to sign something at a window with the other person behind a plastic shield and getting out to fuel up and set up.
Enjoyed the visit, Stay safe...
