Chapter 8, Page 1, Book 20

The most wasted of days is one without laughter

E.E. Cummings

August 1st - dont forget to laugh

There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.

Charles Dickens

In these days when we find so little to laugh about its good to remember that laughter is good for us.  Laughter decreases stress hormones and increases immune cells and infection fighting antibodies, thus improving your resistance to diseases.  Laughter triggers the release of endorphins, the bodies natural feel good chemicals.  Endorphins promote and over all sense of well being and can even temporarily relieve pain.

So why not laugh?  If you ask me, we could all use a little more laughter in our lives.  Laughter connects us with others and youll find yourself being more lighthearted and silly, and give those around you more to laugh about.

Laughter can help you get through the tough times, so laugh a lot and share that good humor with others and make them feel better too.

Always laugh when you can, it is cheap medicine.

Lord Byron

Adorable photo! I sure could use some laughter. In fact now that you mention it that is what has been missing in my life lately. Maybe I'll find a funny movie or something to watch today. Hope you find some laughs along the way today as well :)

I love that watermelon grin. Adorable. Some times my daughters and I just make each other laugh. I saw on the news where a man of 96 had just graduated college. So I text my daughter who is a 5th grade teacher and told her," that man said the 5th grade was the toughest 80 years of his life." LOL...just to get her to laughing, it worked. Actually that gentleman said "It's now or never. " Isn't that cute. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

What a great watermelon smile!
Yes, laughing feels so good! I saw something on social media recently -- addressing these humorous memes about Covid19. The author said, in no way was he/she making light of the virus; but realized how desperately people need an excuse to laugh.
