Chapter 7, Paage 10, Book 20

Be happy with what you have and excited about what you want.

Alan Cohen

July 10th - be content

You will be exactly as happy as you decide to be.

Satisfaction and contentment are two of the biggest factors in determining our happiness  It is only because we are not satisfied with what we have achieved that makes us feel sad and spend hours of suffering.  The moment a person learns to be happy with whatever he has, life will become much easier.

Still we should not stop wanting things, as we’ll become stagnant and stop growing.  Therefore it’s important to understand the thin line difference between your reasons for being happy and contented as well as at the same time decide you want to grow bigger.

A person that is excited to gain more will only be able to succeed in his life.  The moment you pack up your hands and decide to stop working , your willingness to walk the extra mile will diminish automatically.  One must be able to understand the point when he or she would become happy and satisfied with all they have.

I consider myself a contented person, but that doesn’t stop me from being willing to learn or to grow.  I have everything I need, but to have it a little better is ok.  I think we should all try to be better people every day. Besides making us feel good about ourselves, happiness is a positive emotion that drives our ambitions and motivates us to wake up every morning to pursue our goals and dreams

Be happy with what you have while working for what you want.

Happiness is choice.

Interesting point you've made, the difference between being satisfied v. stagnant. Fine line, isn't it? I think one key to happiness is always having something to look forward to ... while not forgetting to give thanks for all we (already) have.

So true happiness allows us to achieve our goals. Better to try to live ad content ad we can!

Being content and enjoying what you have is a mental journey to happiness. Yes we are happy with what we have, but still look forward to other goals. WE must not just STOP, as long as the heart beats I think there will be plans and dreams.
Good advice.
Love from here.
PS: about our doors on the new to us home. I am sure we will use the entrance on the carport side most for ourselves. ;-)

I think another important fact is that a person has to be willing to work at this.
