Chapter 6. Page 7, Book 20

The human race has one really effective weapon, and that is laughter.

Mark Twain

June 7th - Laugh

A day without laughter is a day wasted.

Charlie Chapin

I never really thought of laughter as a weapon, but its true it provides us with a weapon to get through stress, illness, loss, dissapointment and any kind of adversity.  It’s like having half the battle won.

Being able to laugh at traumatic events in our lives doesn’t cause to ignoramus’s them, but seems to prepare us to endure them.  It doesn’t blur the lines, but connects the dots.  Being able to laugh keeps us going.

People always need a reason to laugh, yet finding one is always easy.  Laughter lowers blood pressure and improves the function of blood vessels and increases blood flow.and helps protect us from a heart attack and cardiovascular disease.  Laughter boosts your mood and is a weapon against depression and severe anxiety.

So love, live and laugh everyday to make your life  better.

We dont laugh because were happy - were happy because we laugh.

William James

That is a new way to look at a laugh. I have had some BIG laughs lately, even if it was laughing at myself. LOL

Love you and thanks for breath of fresh air.

I believe people have laughed their way to wellness, worked through trials and solved life issues with laughter shared with others. When John went through his bouts of cancer, the doctors were surprised at how upbeat (and funny) are family was. They said it bolstered them that we were able to laugh even in the face of adversity.
Beautiful post!!! xo Diana

I truly believe, laughter is the best medicine! And on more than one occasion, the best has been laughing at myself. Getting older sure provides more opportunities, LOL.
