Chapter 6, Page 5, Book 20

You cant buy happiness but you can buy donuts

Author Unknown

June 5th - do what you can

Whether you thin you can or think you cant youre right.

Henry Ford

Too many of us dwell on what we can’t do these days, but there is a lot we can do to create some happiness in this dark time. But the truth is that happiness is an inside job.  We just have to do the best we can with what we’ve got.

It’s no secret that I have a sweet tooth and love donuts.  So for me happiness can be in had in a donut or two with my good cup of coffee in the morning.  This is something I can do and it makes me happy.  We need to look for those little things in life that bring happiness our way and not dwell on those things we cannot do.

It doesn’t have to be a donut, sometimes the simple act of watching the sunset can bring the biggest smile to my face and watching it with friends and family makes it even better.  Even on the darkest days there is beauty in the sky.

It’s a gift free to all and is available every day.

You must do the thing you think you cannot do.

Eleanor Roosevelt

Such an appropriate post for today Ma as it is national donut day! So true to find the simple things of life and to enjoy them to their fullest!

So true … happiness is an inside job. What's good for one somebody might not be good for the other, but what the heck. We don't all have to like the same things. But. I think it's key to focus on those things we DO like and turn our backs on the news every now and then.

You brought some smiles here. enjoyed the family pictures. The quote by Henry Ford sure hits home for us humans, and we should take it to heart.
