Everything I needed
Author Unknown

I asked for Strength …..
And God give me Difficulties to make me strong.
I asked for Wisdom
And God gave me problems to solve.
I ask for Prosperity
And God gave me Brawn and Brains to work.
I ask for Courage
And God gave me Danger to overcome
I ask for Love
And God gave me troubled people to help.
I ask for Favors…
And God gave me Opportunities
I  received nothing I wanted;
I received every thing I needed.

My prayers have all been answered

June 11th - be careful what you pray for

God grant me strength to accept those things I cannot change.

Dan Brown

I believe in prayer, but we have to remember that sometimes God has a better plan.  We pray for things without understanding the consequences;  Some people say, whatever you do, don’t pray for patience because God will try you with things that require it.

I think the Lord knows what we need and what is of use to us, so we should trust Him and he will give us what our hearts need.  Therefore I pray Thy will be done Lord.  Don’t stop praying, just be careful what you ask for because might get it.

When things don’t work out the way you expect, try giving God the benefit of the doubt and realize He know best, If things look bleak right now, don’t give up. He is always in control.

Any cancern too small to be turned into a prayer is too small to be made into a burden.

Pray constantly and give thanks always.

So true God is always in control. I have to remind myself of that often especially these days when the whole world has gone insane (LOL). But indeed praying constantly is one of the best things we can do in any circumstance!

Word! I can think of a couple occasions I forced an outcome -- only to regret it later. Like Garth sang, "I thank God for unanswered prayers."

I am in recovery so I use every one of those sayings above many many times today! I love the serenity prayer!

Prayer does work. I love the line you that you used from the serenity prayer. That is one prayer for many moments. I had that in several places in my office. It helped!
Love ya, thanks.
