Chapter 10, Page 19, Book 19

Gratitude lifts our eyes off the things we lack so we might see the blessings we possess.

October 19th - what it means to be blessed

The best things that have ever happened to me have not been the result of anything I have done.  Some might say that is luck.  I call them blessings and in some cases miracles.

Tom Krause

Most of the time, when folks say they’ve been blessed they really mean circumstances have occurred that make them happy .  Don’t confuse happy with blessed.

To be blessed, is to know that place of no striving.
To be blessed, is to know that place of rest and dignity
To be blessed is to know that I am loved by a gracious Creator, and that I can own and celebrate my identity .  Knowing that it and it alone is enough.

When you’re feeling blessed, it’s time to count your blessings and be thankful for what you have.  Being thankful is a must the way I look at it.  When you are thankful, you feel blessed.

Being blessed is a condition of the heart and a frame of mind.

I count my blessings, because I am blessed daily. I love your approach to blessed, you are right it is not just happy. But 99% of the time when I am blessed I am also happy! Life is good and so is God.

I try to look for blessings in each and every day. Sometimes they come easily-sometimes I have to search fro them. Have a wonderful, BLESSED, weekend. xo Diana

I think being aware of the blessings in our lives helps keep us humble and open to inner peace.
