Chapter 10, Page 13, Book 19

Almost anything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you.

October 13th - Time to Reset, Refresh, Renew

Every sunset is an opportunity to reset.

Richie Norton

We’ve all heard the term reboot when it comes to computer, but we can get a fresh start in life when we hit the reset button.  Taking time out to rest and relax for a few minutes.  It’s something we all need at one time or another.  No one can keep on working forever and do their job well without taking a break.

When we find ourselves weary of what we’re doing it’s time for to reboot your life.  It’s the time to restart, and reboot your internal clock.  Reset, Refocus, Readjust, Restart - As many times as you need to  We all need to get away from it all from time to time, expeaaccially when we star to experience burn out.  Stress can make you feel exhausted, emotionally, mentally and physically.  It can zap your motivation, and even cause health problems.

Going on a vacation can help.  A few days retreat will help you to reconnect with what really matters.  Regardless of what may have happened the day before, you can start each morning with a clean slate.  Give your self the gift of a daily reboot.

Rest can provide solitude, and it is during rest that one’s perspective is renewed.  Rest provides a habitat for the soul and mind to reset and recalibrate.

Rest, relax and refresh your mind.

If positivity is not your mindset, then reset.

The time to rest and renew is when you don't have time for it.

So true how we need to reboot! Whatever term we use, we definitely need to take the time to get away from whatever is causing stress and just relax and enjoy some downtime. We did that just this past weekend. Took off 2 days from work and made a long weekend of just enjoying seeing things and spending time away from the grind of work.

I like that quote. Good idea about rebooting. I don't think about doing it that much. I might need to do it today.

Had a busy weekend and think I might be coming down with a cold!

Words of wisdom, indeed! It was only after I resigned my long-term job last March that I realized the enormous mental stress I'd been under. There are no words to describe the weight that was lifted; Tom even remarked I seemed nicer. Ha!

Absolutely true. I do not need it as often as I used to, but I know it when it comes time.
Love ya, and we did have rain for the first time on over a month.

When I did computer support, that was the first question I asked.
It’s great advice for people too.
