September 26th - Don’t get stuck in a rut

Life ia for living not for being stuck in a rut of complacency where normality consists of the mundane

Steven Redhead, Life is a Dance

When we make decisions, it’s often  a matter of going forward or holding back.  I say go for it.  We have to do what is needed in order to get where we want to be.

It’s not always easy to try new things but we get stuck in a rut when everything stays the same.  Our goal should be to keep putting one foot ahead of the other until day is done and take on new projects, and try new things.  We get stuck in a rut if we don’t.

Good intentions never change anything.  They only become a deeper and deeper rut.

Joyce Meyer

Try something new.  Whether it’s taking a new route to work, watching a new show, or signing up for a class, exploring the world around you can add zest to your life.

Having something new to look forward to is a great way to get out of a rut.  Don’t overlook the little things.  Even small daily and weekly rewards such as being able to go to your favorite place for lunch or tuning into your favorite tv show once a week are great ways to build a sense of anticipation for the future.

Don’t wait for inspiration to strike, just get going.  Take the first step and then another.  Feeling stuck in a rut can be frustrating, but with a little effort we can add a sense of novelty, adventure, and excitement back into our lives.  Continuing to move forward by doing one thing at a time.

Challenges in life don’t deteriorate our being.  They make usstronger. We grow and learn steadily over time. Sure it’s easier said than done, but who said this life was supposed to be easy.

If you have found yourself in a ditch guess what?  You can find your way out.  Scratch, crawl, strive, climb and press as if theres no tomorrow.  Manifest the greatness inside you.

It is good to learn new things! I'm going to be taking a computer class soon to learn new different things on the computer that will help me in accomplishing what I want to do in getting a new job. I'm glad that we still have the ability to learn new things, no matter how old we may be.

You know are right....even a little thing like changing up the way you decorate can be a BIG change!! I've been so concerned with keeping things in order concerning my home, that I couldn't even decorate for holidays the way I wanted for fear of it not matching the rest of the house!! Oh silly!! Because of the white, shabby chic style, I would decorate the same for holidays...with more pastel colors. Well...this fall I went with the more traditional Fall colors. Bronze, golds, orange, yellows, and it looks so warm, inviting and cozy in here! I love the feel and look! Change is good...even the little things!!
Love to you, my friend.

I do not always like challenges, but once engaged the challenge teaches us as we get 'into' it.
All our challenges are not the same, but they are ours.
good thoughts and wisdom.
