Chapter 7, Page 8, Book 19

Each day holds a surprise.  But only if we expect it can we see, hear , or feel it when it comes.  Let's not be afraid to receive each daysurprise, whether it comes to us as sorrow or joy it will open a new place in our hearts, a place where we can welcome’s new friends and our shared humanity.

Henri Nouwen

July 8th - celebrate every day

This is a wonderful day  I’ve never seen it before.

Maya Angelou

I recently had lunch with some of my friends and one of them asked why I had celebration banners hanging from my windows and wondered just what I was celebrating.  I told her that for me every day of life is a celebration.

I got the banners the first New Year spent in my new home.  Sometimes I hang different things like hearts, shamrocks, or pumpkins from them to go along with certain holidays, but I leave the banners hanging every day of the year.

To me, to celebrate means above all else to say that I am grateful.  Every single day is a gift and I am grated for each new day and the opportunities to share kindness and love with others.  I’m grateful for the lessons learned and truths shared.

Life is not meant to be a burden.  Life is not a problem to be solved.  It is a blessing to be celebrated.

Don't you think that you have to be looking for joy as well or it can escape you!

We are celebrating a safe trip and some beautiful views that will be remembered. One doesn't need to just exist, but you are right, CELEBRATE LIFE!
