Chapter 6, Page 3, Book 19

When you get into a tight place and every thing goes against you ’till it seems as though you could not hold on a minute longer, never give up then for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn

Harriet Beecher Stowe

June 3rd -A few wise words for a Monday

Life does not have to be easy to be wonderful.

Some wise words to start your day.  I love quotes and share them often.  Some of them have had the power to make my day.

Wisdom is being true to our inner self, thus bringing harmony and peace in our lives.  Its a discovery of a a new idea or solution that meets everyones needs.  Wisdom is also about honoring people and caring about their rights. It is reflected in the way which we treat others.

The words we write or speak do have a lot of power and can leave a huge impart on our lives and on others .  And it’s up to us to use our words wisely.

I have accumulated a great selection of quotes and keep them handy.  There seems to be no subject that has not been written about by someone.  If you need some words of wisdom they are not hard to find.  Some people ignore them, but not me.  I’m willing to take good advice whenever I find it.

I’ll never be old enough to learn it all so I take the lessons learned by others to heart.  Some say actions speak louder than words, but truly I believe words do matter.

We must be willing to let go of the life we planted so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

Yes, as a rule the old statement that "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me." I would like to believe that as a fact, but the truth is, I believe we have all been hurt by WORDS. We have all been 'blessed' by words. Just before reading this post Sherry read out loud from her computer: "Winning lottery ticket sold in North Carolina."
I reminded her of what an older friend said TO ME many years ago, speaking of Sherry, "You won the lottery when you got her, didn't you Jack?" It was true, and I have never forgotten those simple witty words.
Thanks for the smile and memories,
Sherry and jack

My skin's grown a bit thicker than it was a few years ago … but I recall being somewhat offended by a co-workers text message … when no offense was meant. It's not what's said, but the way in which it's spoken that can make a big difference.

That is neat Ma that you have a great collection of quotes. I do enjoy the ones you share with us. I think the wisdom we can get and have the better off we will be. I have been reading and studying the book of Proverbs and that has been great source of wisdom too. Good to take these little tidbits and carry them with us through our days.
