Chapter 6, Page 23, Book 19

The time to relax is when you don’t have time for it

Sydney J. Harris

June 23 - I’m not lazy, just very relaxed

Ah! There is nothing like staying at home, for real comfort.

Jane Austin

Sundays are my day to relax, refresh and renew.  I think it’s very important that we find some time to relax.  Life gets busier and busier and if we don't stop now and then to refresh and renew well soon burn out or ever worse, we get sick.

We all need time to recoup and recharge our bodies and our minds. The time to chill out and forget all the demands of life sometimes feels impossible but it does make us feel more at ease and it’s good for us.

Taking time out for one’s self is not wasted time but critical for feeling rested, ready and happy.  What constitutes a time of relaxing varies from person to person.  What’s good for one is not good for all.

Relaxation is a necessity that is treated like a luxury.  Every person needs it.  No one can run on empty.

How beautiful it is to do nothing and then rest afterward.

Old Proverb

Work hard but relax harder…

Yep, we all need that down time. I think that's why God made and commanded a Sabbath day. A day to rest and unwind and spend some time with him.

Enjoy your day Ma!

You know this is true and I have experienced that this week. Rick has been suffering with a horrendous tooth ache - even went to the ER - when someone you love hurts you do too - and we are all exhausted. He did get an emergency root canal yesterday - PRAISE GOD - and now we are going to crash! lol

Since I retired, seems all I do is relax … and I'm not finished. Ha!
Seriously, I do suspect my dad's inability to slow down/relax contributed mightily to his final cardiac arrest.
