Chapter 6, Page 12, Book 19

Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardor and diligence.

Abigail Adams

June 12th - Don’t ever stop learning and growing as a person

You learn something new every day if you pay attention.

Roy LeBlond

There have been times when I liked to think Ive got it all figured out and that’s usually been when I find out that I know nothing at all. Truly we never stop learning .  Life is a series of new starts that make us wiser and stronger each time.

I like how Rick, one of our fellow bloggers, says it - Every day is a school day.  It’s been years and years since I went to school or attended any kind of classes at all.   My formal education only went as far as high school, but I’ve taken many classes. Computer classes, religion classes, painting classes, knitting classes, baking classes, etc. and have even taught classes… but not once did I say to myself, I already knew that. Teachers learn as they go too.  I’ve grown and become a better person through all I’ve learned.

Every day is a new start filled with opportunities to learn more and more. Some lessons are learned from books and some from experience.  The key to bettering ourselves each day is progress and growth. To grow every day, we should never stop learning.

Learning is not a spectator sport.

Ain't that the gospel truth. Yes we learn something every day and sometimes do not even realize it.
Over cast here but nice.

I like that quote that life is not a spectator sport. We do need to get out there and participate in it and that includes learning, even if it is not "formal" learning like in a classroom but there is so much to be discovered here and we can simply do it through reading books, talking to other people, watching things on TV, etc. I am glad I have never stopped learning even though I too just graduated from high school.

I was just thinking of Rick's truism, and have cited it on many an occasion.
At times I'm reluctant to learn -- for instance the new software for our church -- but I think that stems from fear of failure.
Like old Roy wrote, I've got to just pay attention!

Yes- every day is a school day. Learning is never done for any of us if we choose to listen to the lessons life has to offer. I LOVE learning new and different things.
Have a wonderful night. xo Diana
