Chapter 4, Page 5, Book 19

A sense of curiosity is nature’s original school of education.

Smily Blanton

April 5th - be curious

Necessity may be the mother of invention, but curiosity is the mother of discovery.

Chales Handy

They say that if we want a rewarding life we should be curious.  The more curious we are the more possibilities we’ll see.  All that seems obvious in life is not necessarily true.

Curious people always ask questions and search for answers.  Since the mind is like a muscle that becomes stronger when it’s exercised, the mental exercise caused by curiosity makes your mind stronger.

The life of curious people is far from boring and is never routine.  There are always new things that attract their attention. Curiosity steers us into the unknown and is a way to greater knowledge.

Curiosity is the spice of life.  When we are curious about something, the mind anticipates new ideas to relate to.  Without curiosity ideas may pass right in from of us and we’d miss them.

Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up interest winkles the soul. You are as young as your faith, as old as your doubt: as young as your self confidence, as old as your fear; as young as your hopes old as your despair.

Douglas MacArthur

Great subject. Love it. I was struck by what Handy said. Neat find. Yes we are curious by nature and that makes life more interesting.
Sort of a dreary day here, but nice on the inside. gotta get to work on another squeaky area.

As long as we are safe, it is good to be curious about life. There are so many wonderful things about it; it is good to experience all that we can!

I believe if we keep asking questions and learning new things our brain cells are less likely to atrophy. (No formal knowledge, just my gut instinct!) Regardless how comfortable, I suppose it's good to step outside our comfort zone!

I'm with you. There's lots to do and always something interesting. I spent part of the afternoon at a newly renovated library off Fifth Avenue. So enjoyed perusing the shelves and discovering the movie series they offer.
