Chapter 4, Page 10, Book 19

Doncomplain to others about your troubles.  Half of them dont care and the other half are glad.

Emit Smith

April 10th- I can’t complain, but sometimes I still do…

My days of whining and complaining about others have come to an end.  Nothing is easier than fault finding. All it will do is discolor my personality as that none will want to associate with me.  That was my old life.  No more.

Og Mandino

Whining prevents people from giving a better response to the the difficulties they experience on their long and sometimes tedious journey of life.  Our response to what happens can make all the difference.

Grumbling, rebellion and discontent are a way of life for some .  They are all excuses and they remove your ability to be happy in life.  Complaining can often feel easier than trying to fix a problem. And once we start it can become a habit and before long we dont even notice how much we do it.

Whining has never solved anything.  I recently stood in line at the grocery store and listened to the check out clerk whine about how they had to work and couldnt go visit a close relative in the hospital.  They told the lady in front of me all about it and they told me about it and as I was leaving, I heard them telling the people that were in line behind me.  It was the exact same story over and over again.  I could tell that it really bothered them, but I wondered why they hadnt just called off work for the day and gone to visit their loved one.

Whining cannot solve your problems and complaining to others who cannot do anything about it, is a waste of your time and the time of others too.

Realize the if you have time to whine and complain about something then you have the time to do something about it.

Whining is a waste of time...

Funny isn't it? When I agree with someone they are so danged smart! Now to this post, I know I have said it before, but this is one of your best. This one hit the ball out of the park. I especially liked the part where YOU SAID something like, "I can't complain, but sometimes I still do." That sounds like an oxymoron, but it is so dange true.
Love it MA!

Whining really doesn't accomplish much except get us more irritated or upset. I think some people just like to whine to hear themselves talk.

What a sad story about that clerk. I wonder if she was hoping customers would think badly about her employer … or just needed someone to express their sympathies. Either way, awkward for all concerned!
