Chapter 3, Page 18, Book 19

How do you treat ideas?

Treat them tenderly - they can be killed quickly
Treat them gently - they can be bruised in infancy
Treat them respectfully - they could be the most valuable thing that ever came into your life.
Treat them protectively - don’t let them get away
Treat them nutritionally - feed them and feed them well.
Treat them antiseptically - don’t let them get infected with the germ of negative thoughts
Treat them responsibly - Respond! Act! Do something with them!
Decide to decide!

March 18th- Spring renewal

The man with a new idea is a crank until the ideas succeeds.

Mark Twain

Everything is new in the Spring and that includes ideas.  New thoughts, new ideas.  We need to do a little spring cleaning in order to weed out the bad to make room for the good.

A mental spring clean can give us a boost, a sense of relief, reduce stress and give a feeling of rejuvenation.  A cluttered mind is unhealthy.

I Threw Out

Last week I threw out Worrying,
It was getting old and in the way.
It kept me from being me;
I could do things my way.

I threw out those inhibitions
They were just crowding me out.
Made room for my New Growth,
Got ride of old dreams and doubts.

I threw out a book on my past
didn’t have time to read it anyway.
Replaced it with new Goals,
Started reading it today.

I threw out childhood toys
Remember how I treasured them so?
Got me a new philosophy too.
Threw out the one from long ago.

Brought in some new books too,
Called I Can, I Will and I Must.
Threw out I might, I think and I ought.
Wow!  You should have seen the dust!

I picked up this special thing
And placed it at the front dor.
I found it - its call Peace
Nothing gets me down anymore.

Yes, I’ve got my house looking nice.
Looks good around the place
For things like worry and trouble
there just isn’t any place.

It’s good to do a little house cleaning,
Get rid of the old things on the shelf.
It sure makes things brighter
Thank you God for cleaning up myself.

New ideas need room to grow.  Getting rid of the things that weigh us down and hold us down is the best way to make room for the things that really matter.

Air your mind and let go excuses that limit your ideas about what you can do as opposed to what you can not do. Spring is a time for renewal.

If you have an apple and I have an apple, and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple.  But if you have an idea and I have idea, and we exchange the ideas, then each of us have two ideas.

George Bernard Shaw

Renew your thoughts, clear your mind...

The first note, about an idea being tender. Isn't that the truth. Many ideas's have been killed in their youth.
YOu pick some great things by Mr. Anon, (I might have said that before. HAHAHAHAAH) But it is still true.

I loved that quote from George Bernard Shaw! That is so true with ideas! We do need to share them and welcome new ideas from those around us. I also like that Throwing Out poem. I think I need to do some spring cleaning here myself!

Love, love, love your quote. I will try and remember to close my eyes and clear my heart whenever I need a reboot. Wishes for a great week!

That first quote is wonderful! Many a time I've felt 'thunderstruck' by something I wanted to blog about... then, as the hours elapsed, my self-doubts quashed it. You know, things like, "No-one's going to like that." Must quit worrying about pleasing all the people all the time, lol.
