Chapter 3, Page 15, Book 19

Everything is transient.  Everything is constantly changing.  The only thing we have is now.

Jessica Lange

March 15 - change is good

Everything is perpetually becoming new.

Alan Watts

I firmly believe that change is good for us.  Even when it’s tough we are learning and growing.  Some changes happen slowly and some happen quickly. But nothing ever stays the same.

Change in life is a constant.  Who we are this instant it not the same person we were yesterday.  Where we live, what we eat, what job we keep are all in a state of change.

Changes makes us flexible.  They help us to go with the flow, to be smarter than we were yesterday.  Change reminds us that anything is possible.  Nothing ever stays the same forever.

We need to remember that tough times don’t last forever, they’re meant to help us to appreciate the good times.   Change is good.  It’s how we react to change that will make it even better.

If you’re in a bad situation, don’t worry it’ll change.  If you’re in a good situation, don’t worry it’ll change.

The only thing we can count on is change. :) How bored we would be without change.

My mother was a wonderful seamstress, but she wasn't very good at things like embroidery. Nonetheless, she embroidered a picture of a sunrise for her kitchen wall, along with the words, "This too shall pass." It was her way of enduring in the face of difficulties, and it has become mine, as well.

The people who are healthier in life - are the ones that can adapt to change.

I like Sandie's comment; that is so true. I too this morning said "this too shall pass" I was saying it in reference to working out on the treadmill, but it is so true that in all difficult situations of our lives, it is for a "short" period and it usually always does pass. Good reminder of that this morning, Ma. Thanks!

Looking back, I have to smile. So many changes I initially resisted were actually blessings in disguise. Better that I anticipate good v. being surprised.

I am not always a willing learner, but I agree nothing stays the same... But I'm telling the world, electronics and software moves with lightening speed, and 3/4's of the way to 100 sometimes it is daunting.

So true. Even some of the most difficult things I've gone through were the times of greatest growth. Whether I learn patience or increased empathy every day is an opportunity to change for the better.
