Chapter 2, Page 20, Book 19

Let everything we do and say be an expression of the beauty in our heart, always based on love.

Don Miquel Ruiz

February 20th - -Gratitude is one of the greatest ways we can show love.

Saying thank you, creates love,

Daphne Rose Kingma

Thankfulness in whatever form, is essentially a way to love someone else.  Expressing our gratitude is a way of showing love.  As important as it is to feel gratitude, it’s important to express gratitude.  When we forget to show gratitude is is essentially forgetting to show love.

We often forget to tell those we love, just how much they mean to us.  Forgetting to be grateful is forgetting to love.  Love is a precious thing and I want to make every effort to show my gratefulness. When we are grateful for another person we are much more likely to love them.

Saying thank you is such a simple thing, but I want those I love to know I’m grateful for whatever they have done for me.  Being grateful and expressing our love for someone through gratitude is easy, but it can get lost in the mix of life.

When we feel gratitude  we feel love, joy, appreciation and peace.  Gratefulness is the essence of love and love is essential to gratitude.  Gratitude will keep us together

Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life.  It turns what we have into enough, and more.  It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity.  It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.

I remember teaching 'Please' and 'Thanks you' to the boys and grands. But if we the teachers do not set the example it will be just words.

We say a lot of thank yous around here. I think like you said it is good to show gratitude especially to those we love who are doing kind acts.

So true about gratitude getting 'lost' in the mix of life! I was raised to express appreciation, but you might be surprised the folks who just assume their thanks is understood. One of the saddest things I've ever heard was a young cashier's response to a "thank you": "Why? I'm just doing my job."
