Chapter 4, Page 27, Book 18

Without kindness there can be no true joy

Thomas Carlyle

An act of kindness, big or small, is the epitome of love.

How beautiful a day can be kindness touches it!

George Elliston

Although I do believe there is a lot to be said about being kind, today’s post is all about the kindness that Spring brings our way.  We are blessed to finally have warmer and kinder days.  The Spring sunshine is both welcome and comforting.  Gone but not forgotten are the harsh cold days of winter.

Nature is constantly giving and receiving.  The forsythia, the tulips and the daffodils are a welcome sight, cheering up the gloomiest of days.  Even the gentle Spring rains are showers of blessings making all things grow.

Spring is being very generous to us and gifting us with beauty and many kinds of new life every day.  What can I say but:

Thank You, Thank You Thank you for your kindness !

A little kindness goes a long way.

This was a sweet post today, Ma. It is good to think about the kindness of the seasons, like spring with the way everything is blooming and then autumn when things are starting to go dormant for the winter, but a welcome relief sometimes with the cooler air that the fall season brings. We don't get much of a spring here but there are some trees etc. that bloom, but it is a hard season for those that suffer from allergies.

So glad to hear Mother Nature's being kind to you ... finally!

You know, in my youth the best sort of labels were 'pretty', 'witty', 'perky', etc. (Not that any of those applied to me!) Kindness wasn't something one aspired to be known for. Fast forward several decades, I was reading condolences on a classmates obituary .. a bit surprised how often the word 'kind' was used to describe her ... in the highest esteem. That's the sort of label to wear proudly all the days of one's life!
