Chapter 2, Page 12, Book 18

Sometimes people don’t understand the promises they’re making when they make them. But you keep the promise anyway. That’s what love is. Love is keeping the promise anyway.

John Green

Promises can be tricky.  None of knows with complete certainty what will come and this means we can’t always keep our promise.

No one is perfect but we can still promise ourselves and loved ones to have the best intentions.

Keep every promise you  make and make only promises you can keep

Anthony Hitt

A promise to love someone is a promise to give them your best even when they are at their worst.  It’s a promise to believe in them even when they struggle to believe in themselves.

A promise makes a person accountable and it’s important those promises are ones that you can keep.  If you can’t keep a promise, don’t make it.

But I have promises to keep. And miles to go before I sleep

Robert Frost

That second graphic/quote is SO intriguing.

Chuckling about Jack's comment, because there've been several times I wanted to say the same thing about "Sean of the South." (www.SeanDietrich.com) Good news for the modern man (and woman!).

And don't make a promise if you cannot keep it! So true.

promises are sacred. "No one is perfect but we can still promise ourselves and loved ones to have the best intentions."
