Chapter 1, Page 8, Book 18

NEW YEAR DAY 8

A happy person is not a person in a certain set of circumstances, but rather a person with a certain set of attitudes.

Hugh Downs

Charles Swindoll, a renowned broadcaster and pastor said that single most significant decision he can make on a day to day basis is his choice of attitude.

The more humor and laughter in your life, the less stress you'll have, which means more positive energy to help you put your attitude into action.

Change your attitude and you change your life.
You cannot control what happens to you in your life, but you can always control how you respond to it. The way you choose to respond is a reflection of your attitude. By changing your attitude, you also change your perspective and change your life.

Roy Bennett

By having a positive attitude, not only will you have a positive impact on people’s lives by constantly looking for ways to bring the good to the surface through everything you do, but you will also have a positive impact on the world we all live in, for you can’t help one person without helping yourself and without helping the whole world.

Remember: focusing on the negative is like praying for more of it.

HAPPINESS is an attitude!

You have a secret weapon.
Your attitude.

Attitude multiplies everything.
Your strengths.
Your gifts.
Your skills.
Your effort.
Your character.

Attitude multiplies everything.
Your weaknesses.
Your shortcomings.
Your lack of skill.
Your laziness.
Your undeveloped character.

Nothing changes your results faster than your attitude.

a FAMOUS quote goes: These are the times that try men's souls! And in our family age has brought on such a time in our extended family. This is a much needed entry today, Thanks sweet lady.

One of my 'oldest' friends plopped down in one of our chairs here in the motor home yesterday and laughingly said, "Jack Don't get old." He was worn out from fighting traffic and the blizzard in South CArolina on his way to Florida!. He is a year older than I.

Focusing on the negative only invites more. Boy, that's sobering.
Zig Ziglar was certainly an inspiration ... I loved his homespun humor and the example he set.
