Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons.

May Peace be your gift at Christmas and your blessing all year through!

Author Unknown

It’s Christmas Eve and the Last Sunday of Advent .  Today we untie the gift of Peace

No peace on earth without people of good will

Amanda Marteleur

Christmas is a celebration of love and joy and peace.  These are the greatest gifts we can ever give.  But they are often the most difficult, especially if we haven’t received them from others.

Peace is the first thing the angels sang.

Leo The Great

The song that the angels sang, on that night in the long ago.  When the heavens above with their music rang.  Till it echoed in the earth below...

All Glory in the Highest, Peace on earth, goodwill to men.
Glory in the highest, Peace, good will to men;
Glory in the Highest, Glory in the highest!

Family and personal relationships can cause conflict, turmoil and stress at any time, but the tensions are often heightened during the holidays.  Offer the gift of peace this Christmas by taking the first step.  One phone call or conversation may not make amends for years of hurt, but it is still the first step that needs to be taken by somebody.

Peace on earth will come to stay,
When we live Christmas every day.

Helen Steiner Rice

Just for today I will focus on being at peace…

For it isn’t enough to talk about peace.  One must believe it.  And it isn’t enough to believe it.  One must work at it.

Eleanor Roosevelt

So true one must work for peace. It does take effort to restore peace if it is missing, but well worth it if it can be restored.

joy and peace are good gifts to give. "For it isn’t enough to talk about peace. One must believe it. And it isn’t enough to believe it. One must work at it."

That's a beautiful suggestion, Ma. Life's so short to hold onto hurts and unnecessary grudges.

I'm so sorry to have been MIA lately ... these last few days have been a bit tumultuous, but nothing a good night's rest and glass of eggnog can't sure. MERRY CHRISTMAS, my friend!

Eleanore said it well. Most of the time there is peace in our little family, we especially savor those times, because it is a wonderful gift.
