Chapter 12, Page 11, Book 17

Each day comes bearing its own gifts. Untie the ribbons.

You may give gifts without caring, but you can’t care without giving.

Frank A. Clark

Today’s gift suggestion is to :  Clean something. Sounds horrible at first, but it can actually be fun.  The key is to aim small.  Perhaps it’s the car, the laundry, the kitchen, or the dusty old trophies and paintings.  Something small that you would mind doing and which would mean something to the recipient.

Each of us has something special and unique we can give in the spirit of Christmas.  Be creative, be brave, be fun.

Best of all, Christmas means a spirit of love, a time when the love of God and the love of our fellow men should prevail over all hatred and bitterness, a time when our thoughts and deeds and the spirit of our lives manifest the presence of God.

George F. Mc Dougall

I think this would be a very useful gift to give to parents with small children to clean their house or at least part of it; very appreciated I would imagine!

When my granddaughters were small, their mom enlisted their help -- cleaning house for a single mother down the street who was undergoing chemo. I love how she set a loving example for Sarah and Chloe.

cleaning something for someone on your christmas list is a great idea, indeed. "Be creative, be brave, be fun."
