Chapter 9, Page 2, Book 17

Genuine love will always feel urged to communicate joy - to be a joy giver. Mankind needs joy.

Lawrence G. Lovasik

Sharing my JOY!

So much sadness exists in the world that we are all under obligation to contribute as much joy as lies within our powers.

John Sutherland Bonnel

I have discovered that a joyful countenance has nothing to do with one's age or one's occupation or one's geography or education or marital status or good looks or circumstances. Joy is a choice!

Joy is a matter of attitude.  Joy gives you energy and makes you feel great. You can achieve all kinds of things that otherwise may seem too difficult to attempt.  You've got energy, buoyancy. You're alive!

There is no duty we so much underrated as the duty of being happy. By being happy we sow anonymous benefits upon the world.

Robert Louis Stevenson

If I have to complain at all, I want to complain about complaining. I want to gripe about grumbling, grouchiness, fault finding, and whining.

Like sulfuric acid, complaining can eat away at whatever it splashes on. Complaining corrodes joy and dissolves good attitudes. A grudge is an aging complaint still being held against another person. The longer you carry a complaint against another, the greater the probability it will become a grudge too heavy to handle. Complaining can give birth to resentment and a whole lot of other bad stuff.

I choose to share my joy and not to complain and grumble.  Our attitudes are contagious and if I’m going to share mine, I want it to be a joyful one.   I try to remember that no matter what is happening, the only thing that really matters at the end of it all is that our lives were filled with joy.

Try to make at least one person happy every day. … If you cannot do a kind deed, speak a kind word. If you cannot speak a kind word, think a kind thought. Count up, if you can, the treasure of happiness that you would dispense in a week, in a year, in a lifetime!

I need to complain less and choose joy more myself.

I especially like to smile at strangers in the supermarket. For the life of me, I can't fathom why so many folks prowl the aisles with a scowl on their face.

My girl, who lurks and reads blogs and comments says, "YOu did not comment on Ma's Blog."

"I did so." But here I am and it must not have taken. hahaha. I did like the statement on ACID related to complaining, and YES, I agree.

I hope you had a great weekend!

I so totally agree with this quote. Nothing could be truer. "Joy is a matter of attitude. "
