Chapter 8, Page 17, Book 17

In the time we have it surely our duty to do all the good we can to all the people we can in all the ways we can.

William Barclay

Just for today I will be present in each moment…

If you limit your actions in life to things
that nobody can possibly find fault
with, you will not do much.

Charles Lutwidge Dodgson

The biggest difference between peace and stress is attitude.  It’s all about how you look at a situation and what you decide to do with it.  It’s remembering that there are no certainties in life.  We don’t know exactly what the future will bring.  So the best way to live is to make positive use of the present moment, even it it sometimes disappoints you.

It’s truly a powerful and beautiful thing when a person’s intentions are genuine.  So remember to do things for the right reasons, even when things don’t work out as planned.  With a strong enough reason why, you’ll be able to do what’s required at any time and in any circumstance.

It’s never too late to change your attitude about something you can’t change.  Just decide to make the best of it.  Take life day by day and be grateful for the little things.  No excuses.

If you blink, you might miss it.

You do not need to know precisely what is happening, or exactly where it is all going. What you need is to recognize the possibilities and challenges offered by the present moment, and to embrace them with courage, faith, and hope.

Thomas Merton

So true about having a good attitude, especially when going through tough times. It does change our perspective about things and is a healthier way to live.

True, "It’s all about how you look at a situation and what you decide to do with it."
I have to remind myself of something my son is fond of saying, "A year from now, will this have made a difference?"

Each situation you face is different. You have to have a positive spin on everything. "Take life day by day and be grateful for the little things."
