Let it go

Don’t ruin a new day by thinking about yesterday. Let it go.

As most of you know, I’ve been trying to sell my old house and I moved because I thought it was sold back in March.  It wasn’t sold, the deal fell though shortly before the closing date as a new credit check found the buyers short and they didn’t get their loan.

Now a new offer was made by different buyers and a new closing date set that is about a week away.  I’m sitting on pins and needles and need to let go thoughts of the past go.  Holding onto those thoughts have caused me more than a few nervous moments for sure.

We all have some bad memories in the past that will drag us down if we let them.  Best to just let them go…  Do what we can and let God handle the rest.  I’ve learned that what will be, will be, and we don’t have a lot of control over it.  What we do have control over is how we deal with what we’ve got.

I will certainly let you know how it all turns out.  Things should be happening very soon!  Meanwhile I’m going to let go, give it all I’ve got, and enjoy each day!

Forget what hurt you but never forget what it taught you.

When you worry, your body tenses, your mind races and your heart stresses. Focusing on negative future outcomes or past failures is an unhealthy way to spend your time.

Resolve to regain this lost energy. Focus on today and handle things as they occur. Know that what’s happened in the past is water under the bridge. Remember that what may happen in the future is, for the most part, out of your control. Live, happily, in the here and now. It’s the only way to thrive!

The fact that today is tomorrow’s past, our confidence going into tomorrow is directly dependent on the positive action taken today and learning from it.

Think you’ve lost it all? You haven’t. The truth of Romans 11:29 is that, God’s gifts and God’s call are under full warranty—never canceled, never rescinded.

Here's hoping this sale goes through. It will be good to close that chspter of your life. So true we shouldn't worry about yestrrday, can't fix it, can only learn from it.

"... but never forget what it taught you." Wow.

Methinks a post-closing Celebratory dinner is in order! I mean, if your thoughts wander to next week, why not imagine what you'd most like on the menu? :)
