Chapter 5, Page 28, Book 17

With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts

Eleanor Roosevelt

We are what we think

Thinking is easy, acting is difficult, and to put one's thoughts into action is the most difficult thing in the world.

Johann von Goethe

The longer I live the more I realize how strong a connection exists between our thoughts and our actions. Every action has a starting place, and that place is in our thoughtsThe only things we can control in life are our thoughts, attitudes and behaviors.  If we don't control our attitudes, they will surely control us.

A good attitude is most important as it is displayed for others to see. And how we relate to those others determines how our life will be.

How we think shows through in how we act. Attitudes are mirrors of the mind. They reflect thinking.

David Joseph Schwartz

Only you can decide how to spend your time, whom you socialize with, whom you share your life, money and energy with.  You can pick your words and the tone of voice in which you speak to others.  You can select what you will eat, read and study every day.  You can choose how you’re going to respond to unfortunate situations when they arise, and whether you will see them as curses or opportunities for growth.

And most importantly, you can choose your attitude, which dictates pretty much everything else. A stubbornly positive attitude can often make the difference between happiness and misery.

Never be afraid to sit awhile and think.

Lorraine Hansberry

An attitude of Gratitude, buzz words, but it makes life better for all.

So true about the attitude can affect how we live. Having a positive one is indeed a good thing!

True that! Sometimes I grow impatient with our younger associates who let their personal up's and down's affect their expressions and interactions. Then, I stop and think I may have done the same thing when I was much younger. (Swallows hard.)

Forgive if I'm repeating myself, but I keep recalling an older co-worker who once shared: Act 'as if'.

i think it pays to reflect often on whats happening around us. "Never be afraid to sit awhile and think."
