Chapter 4, Page 8, Book 17

Hope is the magic carpet that transports us from the present moment into the realm of infinite possibilities.

H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

April 8th - THE HOPE OF LENT

If you so choose, even the unexpected setbacks can bring new and positive possibilities. If you so choose, you can find value and fulfillment in every circumstance.

Ralph Marston

They say that each new experience opens doors to new possibilities. But just the thought of stepping out of your comfort zone can be scary. If you face setbacks, as we all do occasionally, we need to avoid thinking of them as failures. Instead, embrace the opportunity for growth and learning and keep forging ahead.

I’ve definitely stepped out of my comfort zone here at my house and there are have been lots of set backs as I try to start over again here.  Trying to embrace the opportunities and forging ahead is a huge challenge for me.

It’s true what they say, Life is filled with either problems or possibilities.  I’m trying to remember that while on the surface life can seem tumultuous and perplexing, that deep inside, where it truly matters, life is what you make of it.  Peace can happen within you at any place and at any time.  It’s always there, patiently waiting for you to turn your attention toward it.

Peace of mind arrives the moment we come to peace with what’s on your mind.  It happens when we let go of the need to be anywhere but where you are, physically and emotionally.

One thing I know maybe two… is that enthusiasm can rise from the doldrums by being thankful for what you have.  We need to seize every opportunity to be appreciative. and make genuine gratitude a constant companion to who we are, in all that we do.

The only limits to the possibilities in your life tomorrow are the buts you use today.

I do admire you for facing a move at this time after living one place so long. I realize family and friends can be a major help in a move, but mostly for the physical side. I have moved alone once or twice, but at our age I cannot imagine moving without Sherry's expertise and knowing what of our STUFF is important and NOT. You are doing wonderfully, from this person's point of view.

I know how you feel, Ma. I am facing possibly having to look for another job. At my age, I don't want to start someting new, but will have to step out of my comfort zone. I do admire you for all you have gone through the past year and your continued attitude towards gratitude.

Gratitude is underrated. We all face challenges. But there are still so many thing for which to be grateful.

These important words of wisdom, " If you face setbacks, as we all do occasionally, we need to avoid thinking of them as failures. Instead, embrace the opportunity for growth and learning and keep forging ahead. " make a real difference in my life.
