Chapter 4, Page 4, Book 17

♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪We've got high hopes! We've got high apple pie in the sky hopes! ♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪

Hope is patience with the lamp lit.

The hope of Lent - April 4th

Patience asks us to live the moment to the fullest, to be completely present to the moment, to taste the here and now, to be where we are.

Henri Nouwen

Patience is more than just surviving. It is more than waiting. Patience is about the courage to continue, the strength to smile through pain, and the hope that no matter how rough the weather - the storm will pass.

Patience is Power.  Patience is restraint when you are provoked and hope when you are low. It is about striving to get up no matter how far you have fallen. And to do it without hurting others.

There is no snow on the ground here at the moment but the forecast says we may see some on Friday.  For the most part we have had a lot of rain.

Patience with others is Love, Patience with self is Hope, Patience with God is Faith.
Adel Bestavros

I like that last quote. I am going to write it down so I don't forget it. So true all you mentioned about patience today. It is sometimes courageous to live with it during tough times as we wait on God to answer our prayers.

"Striving to get up, no matter how far you've fallen."
Wow. That doesn't require brawn ... only patience. And mercy.

That opening quote packs a powerful punch. "Hope is patience with the lamp lit." This is so true.
