The price of anything is the amount of life you exchange for it.
Henry David Thoreau
The hope of Lent - April 2nd
Change is expensive. No matter what you want in life, you must give up something to get it. It’s a universal law and it works like this. The greater the value of what you want the greater sacrifice you will have to make.
Love is extravagant in the price it is willing to pay, the time it is willing to give...and the strength it is willing to spend.
Joni Eareckson Tada
To take responsibility for yourself, you have to give up the need to blame others.
To spread your wings and fly, you have to give up limiting beliefs about what you can or cannot do.
To think positively, you have to give up complaining
To keep an open mind, you need to give up labels.
To improve ourselves and our lives, we need to give up our excuses.
Lent is all about giving up in order to gain and grown. There are no short cuts, easy streets or detours.
Expect to pay a price if you want to make your life better. But, more importantly, also expect to pay a price for just leaving things as they are.
Lent is really the perfect time to let go of bad habits and redirect our lives towards the good, be it for our spiritual life or our physical state.
Everything you want in life has a price connected to it. There's a price to pay if you want to make things better, a price to pay just for leaving things as they are, a price for everything.
