Give up gloom——enjoy the beauty that is all around you.

The Hope of Lent

Hope is a good thing--maybe the best thing, and no good thing ever dies.

Stephen King

March 3rd - a blossoming time of hope

Where flowers bloom so does hope.

Lady Bird Johnson

Lent has been around for many years, however it is not an outdated, old fashioned and out of touch event but one that is more relevant and important than it ever was.

We have seen what happens to those who lose hope. Too often when hope is lost, many of those backed up to the edge of the cliff end up jumping right over it.

Flowers blossom with the exuberance of hope and new beginning, just as Hope blossoms where there was only darkness and shadows.  Where there is hope, there is love, and where there is love, there is God and where there is God, there is no need.

Hope is the seed planted in the heart that springs forth from the soul and blossoms into radiant beauty in the voice, attitude, and in our lifestyles.  They say that this time of year, hope springs eternal.

Hope keeps us going no matter the challenges of the day, dusk tiptoes in; the curtain of night descends. We take rest while God stays up watching over all. Morning dawns and we are given a fresh opportunity to get back in harmony. Hope is renewed! Evening comes and morning follows. Day by day.

A flower cannot blossom without sunshine, and man cannot live without love.

Max Muller

That is so true about hope being the seed planted in our hearts. We need that promise of hope to carry us through our days.

hope is the real thread of life, methinks. I feel sorry for folk who have LOST HOPE! :-(

That Stephan King quote is really something! Comforting to realize, "No good thing ever dies."
I can't imagine -- and wouldn't want to! -- a hope-LESS existence.

i liked the stephen king quote too. but also found this one uplifting. "Flowers blossom with the exuberance of hope and new beginning, just as Hope blossoms where there was only darkness and shadows."
