The Hope of Lent

Give up complaining——focus on gratitude.

March 26th - Sunday gratitude

Gratitude means thankfulness, counting your blessings, noticing simple pleasures, and acknowledging everything that you receive. It means learning to live your life as if everything were a miracle, and being aware on a continuous basis of how much you’ve been given.

When we are thankful, grateful and appreciative of what we have, we tend to be more generous, loving, patient and kind toward others. Gratitude helps you focus on what is important instead of getting caught up in the little annoyances of everyday life.

This Sunday I’m especially grateful for a day of rest.  After weeks of packing and preparing to move, I’m finally in my new home.  The move was completed last weekend with the help of family and friends.

There is still a lot to unpack, but today is a day just to relax rest and enjoy.  Gone are the days of constant busyness and work.  Life in the slow lane has resumed.  That’s where I work a little and rest a lot.

Thank the good Lord for His many blessings!

We never lived in one place too long, but I can imagine what we would have saved if we had. You have done a great job to make the move. We both hope you're happy in the new home. I don't think you will be giving up a lot, if you give up complaining at least we here in Blog land haven't heard any! You are always upbeat. Visits are fun to MA's house!

Just in time you were in your new house by spring. Now you can enjoy it there and get back to your normal routine.

Still 'working for the man' each weekday, I certainly cherish Sundays.
Yes, it's GOOD to reflect on the many blessings I've been given.
