Chapter 3, Page 2, Book 17

Give up worry——trust Divine Providence.

The Hope of Lent

Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours.

Swedish proverb

March 2nd- pray more, worry less

Sorrow looks back, Worry looks around, Faith looks up

Ralph Waldo Emerson

There are four keys to LENT

Let Go
Enter IN
Never give up
Time Out

Rather than being the one in control, we need to Let go and see where our Journey of Hope takes us in the days ahead.

We Enter by being attentive and aware of what each new day brings.  Opening our hearts to see the opportunities in each one.

Never giving up means that we persevere even if we fall down six time we can rise up seven.  If we have a bad day, we can always start again.  Never give up, trust God.

In the busy days ahead we need to take Time Out to pray and prayer time is never wasted.

In many ways prayer is hope.  Without it you have nothing and with it you have so many possibilities.

We pray that Lent will be a journey that will point us to new beginnings and the courage to let go of what needs to be let go of.

May these four keys to L E N T help us renew our hope.

Hope is a renewable option: If you run out of it at the end of the day, you get to start over in the morning.

So true that prayer time is never wasted. We need to take that time daily to focus on God and spending time with him.

Ahhh, I love the graphic:

"Life is precious, HANDLE with PRAYER!"
It is hard to find a truer statement!

I cerainly do like that Swedish Proverb. "Fear less, hope more; eat less, chew more; whine less, breathe more; talk less, say more; hate less, love more; and all good things are yours."

That Swedish proverb resonates. We need to write a song about that.
