Chapter 2, Page 3, Book 17

♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪

Not everything that is faced can be changed. But nothing can be changed until it is faced.

James Baldwin

February 3rd - face the facts

To change everything... simply change your attitude.

He who goes out of his house in search of happiness runs after a shadow.

Good manners sometimes means simply putting up with other people's bad manners.

To be bitter is to waste precious moments of a life that is too short already.

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important. If someone remembers your suit and not your smile, you didn't smile enough.

Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight. Extend to them all the care, kindness, and understanding you can muster, and do it with no thought of any reward.  Your life will never be the same again.

One person can make a difference. In fact, it's not only possible for one person to make a difference, it's essential that one person makes a difference. And believe it or not, that person is you.

Okay girl, I enjoyed the whole visit, but this will stick for a long time:

Of all the things you wear, your expression is the most important. If someone remembers your suit and not your smile, you didn't smile enough.

Hope everything is going well up that way.

I like about treating everyone as if they could be dead by midnight. Wouldn't that be different in how we treated others or the words we said if those could be the last words we said or the last actions we did? Powerful truth in that!

I, too, was touched by the "what-if" ... treating everyone "as if."
Saying good-bye to a favorite manager today was somewhat emotional; then again, we plan to see each other again.
It's so difficult to wrap my mind around the possibility any of my colleagues, friends or family could be gone in a trice. (Hence your point, right?) Every day matters.

So much truth in this that we can change. "He who goes out of his house in search of happiness runs after a shadow."
