For where your treasure is there also will be your heart

Matthew 6:21

February 26th - on a treasure hunt

We can only be said to be alive in those moments when our hearts are conscious of our treasures.

Thornton Wilder

Whatever we claim as treasure in our lives is where we put the bulk of our effort and energy.  Over time we generally grow in understanding of what is really important to us and we let go of some things in order to have the time and energy for things that are more important.

Time is your treasure.

J. M. Colter

The choices we make each day are based on what we treasure.  Time is our great treasure and there is nothing more important than spending time with someone you love. Family and friends are so important.

For those who are willing to make an effort, great miracles and wonderful treasures are in store.

Issac Bashevis Singer

Make time to give meaning to each day. Deepen, rediscover, smile. Every moment is a promise and a new chance, for you and everyone you touch.  It’s our choice.

Where your pleasure is, there is your treasure: where your treasure, there your heart; where your heart, there your happiness,

St. Augustine

Where your treasures are indeed is where your heart is. Important to make sure we remember this as we live our days.

And another use of our Time, might just be, to open our minds, to examining long held *facts* and *beliefs*....

What we put our time to, is what we make of our life.

Are we still sure, at this point in our lives, that past decisions, still apply?

Do we ever take the time, to look inside? And maybe, just maybe, we need to change some guidelines? :-)

Just my mind, meandering, this morning.... :-)

Treasure hunts? I always come here for that, and always find at least one GEM!
Thanks!

I think this is the best quote of the day, " Time is our greatest treasure."

That Thornton Wilder quote is delicious!

Again, I've discovered a wealth of lessons - apart from any chapel or synagogue. 'Sort of reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel's splendid lyric, "Words of the prophets are written on the subway walls, and tenement halls."

(So sorry for being tardy! I felt not unlike a frog in a blender yesterday.)
