Chapter 1, Page 15, Book 17

♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪

Forget about the days
when it's been cloudy,
but don't forget your
hours in the sun.

Forget about the times
you've been defeated,
but don't forget the
victories you've won.

Forget about the mistakes
that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons.

Forget about the misfortunes
you've encountered,
but don't forget the
times your luck has turned.

Forget about the days
when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly
smiles you've seen....

Forget about the plans
that didn't seem
to work out right,
but don't forget to
always have a dream.

January 15th - hopes and dreams

A goal is a dream that has an ending.

Duke Ellington

For many of us, the month ofJanuary is filled with dreams, plans and hopes for the new year to come.  We are only just entering the 3rd week of the month and it already seems, that for some, those are fast fading.

I’m here with a reminder that we should not stop dreaming, hoping and setting goals for ourselves.  They are not just good stuff for the New Year but for everyday of our lives as every day is a new beginning.

You have to have a dream so you can get up in the morning.

Billy Wilder

All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. And sometimes, they work out even better than you ever imagined.

I will never stop hoping, dreaming, believing there are better days ahead.

You see things; and you say Why? But I dream things that never were; and I say Why not?

George Bernard Shaw

I always enjoy the quotes and poems. They are usually wise and informative. BUT but, your words at times over shadow the 'well known dudes', there is today I found this gem and it is a truism:
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them. And sometimes, they work out even better than you ever imagined....

Ain't it the gospel truth!!!

So true to never give up pursuing our dreams or goals. They can be attainable if we keep working on them. Even it we are just making baby steps in the process.

I like The Blessings poem at the beginning of your post. Every one of the paragraphs holds something important to learn.

That "Blessings" poem is so good!
I'm really guilty about getting caught up in unnecessary drama and forget to remember the positivity that exists in any situation.

Just yesterday, another stupid roadblock (electronics challenge) presented itself. I wanted to throw my hands up and scream at the sky. Instead, I asked myself, "What is the Universe trying to teach me?" (So far, there've been no answers, but I'm open to possibility!)
