Chapter 1, Page 13, Book 17

♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and start all over again♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪

A beautiful day begins with a beautiful mindset. When you wake up, take a second to think about what a privilege it is to simply be alive and healthy. The moment you start acting like life is a blessing, I assure you that it will start to feel like one. Time spent living is time worth appreciating.

January 13th - everything is beautiful in it’s own time

Every situation imaginable has hidden beauty in it if we’re willing to open up to it.  For example, even as I have coped with the death of loved ones, I’ve discovered opportunities to appreciate life more, to appreciate the lives of those I've lost, and to appreciate the priceless time I had with loved ones.

It’s our choice, and I choose to find beauty even when it’s buried beneath problems and pain.  You see, death is an ending, which is a necessary part of living.  And endings are necessary for beauty too, otherwise it’s impossible to appreciate someone or something, because they are unlimited.

Limits are a reminder that we need to be aware of a beautiful person or situation, and appreciate this beautiful thing called life.  Death is also a beginning, because while you’ve lost someone special, this ending, like every loss, is a moment of reinvention.

We begin to die as soon as we are born, and the end is linked to the beginning.

Marcus Manilius

Their passing forces you to reinvent your life, and in this reinvention is an opportunity to experience beauty in new, unseen ways and places.  We will never again be the same.

Letting go, turning the page, moving forward, it doesn’t matter what you call it, what matters is that you leave the past where it belongs so you can make the best of the life that’s presently available to be lived.

To change and to change for the better are two different things.

I like the quote about forgetting today's troubles and remembering today's blessings. Death is inevitable in each of our lives, it is hard when we lose those we truly love, but it too, like you said, is a beginning. We weren't meant to live forever this side of eternity. Knowing Jesus, heaven, and our loved ones await us on the other side helps us get through the days when we are grieving.

Beautifully put. I love the notion that, "the end is linked to the beginning."

"Death is also a beginning ...." Wow.

My former pastor shared a (Richard Bach) quote that I've always found comforting:
"Don’t fear goodbyes for they are necessary in order for you to have all the hellos that life has waiting for you."

I believe it was Dylan Thomas who wrote that "Birth is an exit, but death is an entrance." I just had a situation that meant in order for me to move forward I had to literally let go of the past -- a data base that had to be jettisoned. I tried to get around it a hundred different ways, but the only way was to let go. This was two days ago, but it opened up many possibilities. I need to remember this for the future.

Again you stir a memory. There is Beauty all around us and in everything. We once started to cross the Dakotas, a friend said you are in for the most boring drive! i smiled and said that will be a first, never had a boring drive yet. and of course it WAS NOT! life is how you see it. I too prefer to see the beauty... THANKS

We're at the beach this morning and our condo faces the gulf. Last night we watched the moon paint the surface of the sea a silver blue.
Not to be outdone, the sunrise this morning came as we sat on the balcony sipping our first cup of coffee and listening to the sound of the surf. It's stunning here.
But you are right, there is beauty all around us everywhere we go.
