It takes hands to build a house, but only hearts can build a home.

Chapter 12, Page 17, Book 16

♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ It’s the Most Wonderful Season of All♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪

Christmas! The very word brings joy to our hearts. No matter how we may dread the rush, the long Christmas lists for gifts and cards to be bought and given — when Christmas Day comes there is still the same warm feeling we had as children, the same warmth that enfolds our hearts and our homes.

Joan Winmill Brown

Christmas is all about renewing bonds of love, joy, and compassion; it is a time to spread smiles and be merry. It is the time of year to see the world through eyes of love.

Looking through the eyes of love, a rainbow in the sky or a bird that can fly often create Joy that money can't buy!

Be grateful for the kindly friends that walk along your way;
Be grateful for the skies of blue that smile from day to day;
Be grateful for the health you own, the work you find to do,
For round about you there are men less fortunate than you.

Be grateful for the growing trees, the roses soon to bloom,
The tenderness of kindly hearts that shared your days of gloom;
Be grateful for the morning dew, the grass beneath your feet,
The soft caresses of your babes and all their laughter sweet.

Acquire the grateful habit, learn to see how blest you are,
How much there is to gladden life, how little life to mar!
And what if rain shall fall today and you with grief are sad;
Be grateful that you can recall the joys that you have had.

Edgar Guest

This concludes my posts on JOY for now and tomorrow we will turn our focus to PEACE. I hope I was able to give you a little perspective on the subject of JOY this week and will be looking forward to sharing lots of ideas on PEACE.

Remember that you hold the key to your happiness and joy; no one can give it or take it away from you.

Fill your hearts with JOY. Life is good

Christmas is a time of little time.
How we get there is a mystery.
Racing madly mall to mall, we climb
Into fields of sunlit harmony.
Shopping, cooking, clearing walks and yards,
Trimming house and tree while working, too;
Making phone calls, wrapping, writing cards,
As all worn out we do what we must do
So that this day of joy might joy renew.

Nicholas Gordon

May we all decorate our hearts with joy, today and throughout the coming year. May you find the true spirit of the season and may it fill your heart with joy.

I think I might make Joy my word for 2017. Trying to find and keep that joy in my heart, brain, and soul. Looking forward to reading about peace :)

We found a tiny angel Christmas ornament when we were decorating our tree today. The angel was holding a tiny sign that said, JOY.

I certainly enJOY-ed this excerpt from Mr. Guest ... as I did your series.
As always, something to think about!

LOVE the word JOY and this holiday season. You are so right, "Christmas is all about renewing bonds of love, joy, and compassion; it is a time to spread smiles and be merry."
