Chapter 11, Page 5, Book 16

Gratitude helps you to grow and expand; gratitude brings joy and laughter into your lives and into the lives of all those around you.

Eileen Caddy

5th - The sound that I’m most thankful for is the laughter of my grandchildren

There's nothing more contagious than the laughter of young children; it doesn't even have to matter what they're laughing about.

Criss Jami

They say that the average child laughs 300 to 500 times a day while the average adult laughs only about 15 times a day. A good laugh has great short term effects. When you start to laugh, it doesn't just lighten your load mentally, it actually induces physical changes in your body.

Children really brighten up a household - they never turn the lights off.

 Ralph Bus
We should all be like children. Laughter is great medicine.  Laughter changes us in the loveliest ways. When we lighten up we feel more positive and optimistic, more hopeful and engaged. We’re friendlier, more resourceful, more attractive, more radiantly alive.

Remember:

You don’t stop laughing because you grow old, you grow old because you stop laughing.

Michael Pritchard

We should all live, laugh, and love like a child.  Children are sunshine, sunshine on little legs. Because sunshine is all they see.  Every day brings discoveries, wonder, and excitement. Every day is new. They’re always way too caught up in the fun to even think about the consequences. They laugh with every inch of their bodies until they hurt, and they still keep laughing.

We can learn a huge lesson from our mini experts on life. I know I certainly have.  You don’t need to be childish to be childlike. You can find happiness in everyday routine.

Life is difficult and those who make us laugh are angels.

Great photos, and YES, nothing lights up our lives like the laugh of a child. It is such a pleasant thing,AND CANNOT BE IGNORED!

It is so fun to see the world through a little one's eye. Everything is so fascinating to them. So true about laughter being the best medicine. A daily dose of laughing is so necessary for good health.

That's pretty sobering about the ratio of children's laughter to that of an adult.
Now, I love to laugh as much as the next person ... but what passes as comedy these days - at the theater and television sitcoms - leaves me scratching my head.

Love that last image of your g'daughter. We've one of my youngest at her baptism -- in almost exactly the same position ... wow, 18 years ago it's been.
